When you use DisKash, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: email address, first and last name, and role (shopper or business owner).
  • Location data: with your permission, we access your device's GPS location to show you nearby specials. We do not store your precise location history.
  • Usage data: specials you view, save, sign up for, and redeem.
  • Device information: device type, operating system, and push notification token (for sending you notifications you have opted into).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To show you relevant specials near your location.
  • To allow businesses to send you push notifications about specials you have signed up for.
  • To maintain your account and provide customer support.
  • To improve the app and fix bugs.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only in these circumstances:

  • With businesses: when you sign up for a special, the business can see that you have signed up (but not your personal contact details unless you choose to share them).
  • Service providers: we use third-party services (Upstash Redis for data storage, Google Firebase for push notifications) that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@diskash.io.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@diskash.io to exercise these rights.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, JWT authentication, and secure cloud infrastructure to protect your data.

7. Children

DisKash is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
